First phase of Telangana GP Polls-2025 on Thursday; counting to start from 2.00 p.m.

The first phase of Telangana Gram Panchayat Elections-2025 will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 between 7 am and 1 pm. Vote counting will start at 14:00. The second phase of the elections will be held on December 14, and the third phase will be held on December 17. The deadline for withdrawal of candidates for all three phases has ended.

Survey time: 07.00 – 13.00

Vote counting: starting from 14.00

In the first phase, surveys in 4,236 Gram Panchayats and 37,440 Wards were notified. However, of these, 3,836 general practitioners and 27,960 Wards will go to polls as 395 Sarpanches and 9,331 Ward members were elected unanimously. The election campaign, conducted through public meetings or electronic media, ended at 17:00 on Tuesday.

Stating that security arrangements have been made to ensure a peaceful election process, Nagarkurnool District Collector Badavath Santhosh said that meetings have been held with the competing candidates. The ban on alcohol sales in the said mandals is valid from 17.00 on December 9 until the results are announced.

Telangana State Election Commission officials held a video conference with District Collectors, District Election Officers, on Tuesday. Sangareddy Collector P. Pravinya said that the voting materials were sent to Mandal Parishad offices selected as Distribution Centres. Security arrangements have been made for ballot box officials to take the materials from the Centers to the relevant Ballot Boxes. Activities started in the centers.

Wanaparthy Collector Adarsh ​​Surabhi directed that the reports be sent at 9.00 am, 11.00 am and 1.00 pm after the voting begins. Mandal Parishad Development Officers (MPDO) should make computer operators available for this purpose. Nirmal District General Observer Ayesha Masrat Khanam said on Tuesday that almost all voter ballot papers have been distributed and arrangements have been made to broadcast the voting process online.
