First woman appointed to lead Australian Federal Police

After being appointed as Krissy Barrett, Australia’s first woman will be the Australian Federal Police Commissioner.

Ms. Barrett will be the Ninth AFP commissioner after a 25 -year law enforcement career, including the participation of the Solomon Islands and Bali bombing investigation.

Prime Minister Anthony announced his appointment on Monday.

“Today’s announcement was the first woman to hold the commissioner position, Mrs.

“The role of AFP is critical to keep our nation safe.

“There is no greater honor than wearing the uniform of those who serve and protect the Australians.”

Barrett started his career as an administrative assistant in AFP and Melbourne.

“One day I never imagined that I would lead this very good organization,” he said.

Ms. Barrett, who is currently a deputy commissioner, will replace Reece Kershaw when he descends six years later as the best policing role after October 4th.
