Five-vehicle crash on motorway causes delays south of Brisbane
Two crashes, one involving five vehicles, caused delays south of Brisbane and left scores of people in hospital.
Ambulances were called at 5.53am to reports of a five-vehicle pileup on the Pacific Highway at Loganholme.
One person was taken to Logan Hospital with a leg injury.
A few minutes later two cars were involved in another crash near Eagleby on the Pacific Highway.
Two people were hospitalized in stable condition.
Google Maps showed traffic on the road was still congested hours later, just before 8 a.m.
Police and fire crews were called but left the scene a short time later.
