Flight carrying over 100 Indian students, evacuated to Armenia from war-torn Iran, lands in Delhi

The first flight carrying more than 100 students from Iran to Armenia, which was torn from the war, landed in Delhi early on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
In the midst of conflicts between Israel and Iran, Indian students in Tehran moved out of town, 110 people passed the border to Armenia with the arrangements made by the Indian Embassy under the ‘Sindhu operation’ on Tuesday, June 17.

Jammu and Kashmir Student Association thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar for his release efforts.
The Association said in a statement, “We are hopeful that all the remaining students will be released soon.” He said.
