Russia Tries Again to Expand LNG Exports Upended by Sanctions

(Bloomberg) – After the US sanctions stopped last year, Russia is getting another crack in expanding liquefied natural gas exports.

According to ship monitoring data compiled by Bloomberg and satellite images, a LNG ship Arctic LNG 2 has been placed in the export facility for the first time since October. The facility had to be the cornerstone of Moscow’s goal of increasing three -storey LNG exports by 2030, but it was empty for months after fighting to find buyers who wanted to break Western restrictions.
