M6 traffic LIVE: ‘Overturned vehicle’ sparks huge delays | UK | News
M6 motorists are facing traffic problems after a crash brought cars to a halt on Christmas Eve. The incident occurred northbound on the M6 motorway between junctions J32 and J33.
Traffic monitoring service Inrix said this afternoon: “Due to the accident on the M6 North between J32 M55 (Broughton Junction) and J33 A6 Preston Lancaster Road (Lancaster South / Garstang), all traffic is being temporarily stopped and traffic is being queued.” Traffic has since been cleared, but delays remain and some lanes are still closed. Inrix wrote at around 5.30pm: “Long delays and partial congestion due to accident at the M6 North border between J32 M55 (Broughton Junction) and J33 A6 Preston Lancaster Road (Lancaster South / Garstang).” National Highways said the delays were caused by an “overturned vehicle” in lane one.
