Forest school volunteer accused of sending nude photos to student
FOREST, Miss. (WJTV) – Forest police announced that a school volunteer was arrested for sending a nude photo to a male student.
According to investigators, 22-year-old Nichole Lara was a volunteer color guard instructor for the Forest Municipal School District. They said a male student reported receiving inappropriate Snapchat messages and nude images from Lara starting at group camp in July 2025.

Lara was arrested on November 6, 2025, and charged with sexual assault, grooming, and child abuse.
“The Forest Police Department is committed to protecting students and holding all parties accountable,” said Forest Police Chief Steven Bell.

The department is coordinating with the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) and other agencies on this issue. Parents with information can contact the Forest Police Department at 601-469-4141.
