Foresters Redouble Efforts To Recapture Elusive Tiger

Authorities said the tiger, fitted with a satellite collar, remained mostly in the forested hills during the day and ventured out at night. A cattle was reportedly killed after wandering into nearby forest areas on Sunday night.

Tracking operations were expedited by using additional VHF antennas and the team was assisted by veterinarians from the Nagarjunasagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve. The Chief Wildlife Warden ordered the recapture of the animal and its transportation to Visakhapatnam Zoo.
