Age verification tools can protect teens from social media: study
The report states that some technology companies have not been requested by the authorities, although they have been subjected to confidentiality violations by storing precise documents and biometric data.

The release of the report is in front of a meeting in which the Esefety Commission will meet with Global Security Managers from META, the owner of Facebook and Instagram to request answers on revelations that the authorities are allowed to flirt with children.
In the report, he says: “Age -restricted goods, content, service, space or field providers have many choices to choose the most suitable systems for use by referring to developing international standards for age assurance.
“Our assessment did not put forward important technological limitations to prevent the use of age assurance systems in response to age -related conformity requirements determined by the policy makers.”
The report examines a number of tools used to verify, predict and remove the age of internet users.

The Minister of Communication Anika Wells said: “The Albanian government is moving forward with our mission to keep children more secure online with world -leading reforms.
“This report is the latest evidence that digital platforms can access technology to better protect young people than inappropriate content and damage.
“Although there is no only solution to everyone for age security, this trial shows that there are many effective options and more importantly, user privacy can be preserved.”
The Basetis Commissioner will use the report to give advice to the industry on how to comply with new rules.
The report found that although not perfect, there are tools that could discuss the overcoming rules such as document fakes and the use of VPNs.
Albanian, the fact that young people can pass around the rules does not mean that it should be enacted.
“This is not a reason to stop the other laws that we have put about alcohol consumption or tobacco buying or other fields that we have acted to clearly determine the expectations of the community.”
The trial was carried out by the Age Check Certification scheme, a British third -party test and certification body, which evaluates the accuracy, performance and effectiveness of age forecast solutions.
The report states that the hearing was held independently of the government and was not designed to make policy proposals.
