Iran updates – Trump says Iran ‘wants to talk’ but it’s ‘too late’ | World | News

The US military announced that the attacks carried out in the first 24 hours of its war against Iran have almost doubled the intensity of the infamous “shock and awe” bombardment of Iraq in 2003, and nearly 2,000 targets have been hit across the country so far.
Adm. Brad Cooper of U.S. Central Command declined to give an exact figure for the first day’s attacks or clarify whether Israeli operations were included in the count, but said the attack was carried out “as part of the largest buildup of firepower in the region in a generation.”
Cooper also confirmed that the US was actively sinking “the entire Iranian navy” and that 17 Iranian ships had already been destroyed.
The move followed public calls from both Presidents. Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for ordinary Iranians to take back their country and overthrow the government that has ruled the country for decades.
Writing in Truth Social, Trump said: “Air defenses, Air Force, Navy and Leadership are gone. They want to talk. ‘Too Late!’ I said.”
