Democratic New York Mayor candidate Zohran Mamdani has long lost the approval of a party leader despite the support of the New York government Kathy Hochul.
Jay Jacobs, President of the New York State Democratic Committee (NYSDC), announced this week that democratic voters will not support Mamdani, even though the democratic socialist party has chosen as the candidate of the party.

Hochul announced on a piece of view at the New York Times on September 14th that he approved Mamdani.

A recent study of the University of Quinnipiac showed that Mamdani received 45% support among possible New York City voters.
