Former DRDO chairman Satheesh Reddy honoured with ‘Changemaker-2026’ award

Former DRDO chief and National Security Advisory Board member G. Satheesh Reddy said on Sunday that India is no longer dependent on developed countries for critical military technologies.

Speaking after receiving the EMESCO-Dr BV Pattabhiram’s ‘Difference Maker-2026’ award from actor-politician Chiranjeevi at an event here, MrReddy dedicated the honor to the contributions of thousands of scientists, from Suri Bhagavantam to APJ Abdul Kalam, who have worked to strengthen India’s scientific capabilities.

EMESCO Books CEO D. Vijayakumar said Pattabhiram has worked extensively for the welfare of students and youth through counseling and guidance. He said Mr. Reddy also inspired youth across the country through lectures, interviews and symposiums organized under the banner of Kalam’s Institute of Youth Excellence.

Mr. Chiranjeevi recalled Pattabhiram’s contributions as a magician, student counselor and family counselor. A Telugu booklet titled ‘Okadu Satheesh Reddy’ profiling Mr. Reddy was also released on the occasion.

Andhra Pradesh Medical and Health Services Minister Mr. Satya Rao, former MP KVP Ramachandra Rao, senior editor K. Ramachandra Murthy, Jaya Pattabhiram and Prashant Pattabhiram attended the programme.
