Former Fed chiefs urge Supreme Court to block Trump firing Lisa Cook

Every former president of the Federal Reserve and a series of former Treasury secretary and former White House economic consultants called on the Supreme Court to prevent President Donald Trump from expeling the Fed Governor Lisa Cook on Thursday.
“The independence of the Federal Reserve within the limited authority given by the Congress to achieve the targets determined by the Congress itself is a critical feature of our national currency system.” He said.
