Takayo Nembhard: Police issue new appeal three years after man stabbed to death at Notting Hill Carnival

Three years ago, the family of a man who was stabbed in the Notting Hill Carnival made a new objection to information to help find the killer.

21 -year -old Takayo Nembhard was killed by hundreds of people on August 29, 2022 Monday. Ladbroke Grove region under Westway Flyover.

Before he died in the hospital because of a stab wound on his right groin, he visited his friends and sister after traveling from Bristol to enjoy Carnival.

Although more than one arrest was made in connection with the murder, no accusation was imposed by the police.

“Takayo heart left behind a broken family and two beautiful children,” his family said. “We don’t want them to grow up without knowing that someone is accused of murder.

“We do not blame our son for the murder of our son, this was an action of a small minority. But if you have any information about what happened that day three years ago, please come forward.”

“Takayo was a talented rapper who joined the Notting Hill Carnival, like many other people.

“A mindless action of violence has enabled their children to be without a father. Due to the timing and space of the attack, many people are likely to witness the events before or after.”

Met Police is now inviting any witness of the attack to stand out on the eve of the 2025 edition of Notting Hill Carnival.

The force calls on people on social media or 101 phone number or by calling the event room directly on 020 7175 2206. Witnesses should quote the 7478/29aug22 case.
