Former Lioness Alex Scott is the FIRST contestant to be voted off I’m A Celebrity as she opens up about ‘mentally tough’ experience

Former Lioness Alex Scott became the first contestant to be eliminated from the I’m a Celebrity category as she spoke of ‘mentally challenging’ experiences on Friday night.
Alex, 41, was left vulnerable after favorite comedian Eddie Kadi, who was the first to leave, was exempt from the public vote for winning the live trial.
The expert received great applause from his fellow campmates as he quickly grabbed his bag and left the I’m a Celebrity camp for the last time.
Speaking to Ant and Dec’s host, she said: ‘I’m free! It feels weird and doesn’t feel real. Now I’m like, “Oh, I’m out.”
Asked if he was ‘disappointed’ to be the first to be voted out, Alex insisted: ‘Oh no! It was an incredible experience and mentally tough, but I’m so glad I did it with so many wonderful camp friends.
‘The laughs we had and we really bonded and made the bonds we did.’

Alex said: ‘It was mentally tough but I’m so happy I got to do it with so many great camp friends. We laughed and really bonded.’
Laughing when he was shown the smuggled video of himself secretly buying salt to add to rice, Alex explained: ‘I don’t know how many I took, I just put it in my sock.
‘For the first few days I put it on a spoon and Jack sprinkled it into the rice so my campmates knew about it.’
As Ant and Dec dropped campmate Martin Kemp off into the woods, they asked him what the worst part of the bush experience was.
Alex explained: ‘The toilet seat situation, it smells awful and someone leaves the seat up but we can’t say anything because it’s a national treasure.’
Before crossing the iconic bridge, Alex revealed who he wants to win the ITV series: ‘Shona wins, Ginge and Aitch are fantastic and would love to see them in the final, but I think if Shona wins it will give her confidence.’
While his girlfriend Jess Glynne is currently performing a series of shows in the UK, the pundit was greeted on the I’m A Celebrity bridge by pal Regan Coleman.
This comes after the Football Focus presenter was punished for bringing ‘illegal’ goods in the form of salt into camp, resulting in the entire camp losing a star.
He also talked about the importance of diversity and representation in the media industry.

Alex shared: ‘I never want to be given just a role because ‘oh, we need a type for that’, I always want to be given a job and a role because I’m the best person for that role.
‘And I think the thing is, if we come back with things like racism, it’s just the fact that there’s such a limited pool because no one has been given those opportunities.
‘Now these opportunities are open, I still want to be given this role because I am the best person for the job, not just because I tick a box.’
She added that she gets great ‘enjoyment’ from seeing other women talk about sports and present programs on television.
Following the scenes, the Hold My Hand singer, 36, wrote to her nearly 900,000 followers: ‘My woman is a true pioneer! You are proud of everything you are. It’s the flagship Lisa!’
‘Oh I miss you so much,’ she added, along with a loving heart emoji.
Alex previously revealed he was waiting for Jess to propose to him during a conversation with Ruby Wax and Shona McGarty on the ITV show.
Speaking about Jess, she said: ‘I guess I never knew happiness before her.’

After watching Alex talk about her hopes of marrying the singer, Jess took to social media to joke: ‘I’d better go buy a ring.’
Ruby asked Alex how they met and explained: ‘He approached me at Chiltern Fire Station…
‘I was there with my friends and he walked towards me… [it was] I was really brave and I thought, I love your courage and then the spark was instantaneous and then yes…we fell madly in love.’
Ruby went on to question whether there was a possibility of Alex and Jess getting married.
Alex replied: ‘I’m going to marry her, I’m just waiting for her to ask, Rubes!’
After watching the episode, Jess took to her Instagram Stories and joked: ‘I’d better go buy a ring.’
The couple first started dating in 2023, and Alex’s time in the jungle will be the longest they have spent apart from each other.
Speaking to the Daily Mail before arriving at camp, Alex admitted: ‘This will be a test for both of us.’
He candidly explained why they waited so long to make their relationship public.
Alex explained: ‘We were very careful and secretive from the beginning because we wanted to get to know each other and understand ourselves before things came into the world.’
