Haribol Gajurel, a senior leader of the Nepal Communist Party, told IANS: “The main mission of the visit is to convey the message of unity of the communist forces under the umbrella of the Nepal Communist Party by addressing the Nepali society, especially the supporters of our party.” “We are holding mass meetings to convey the message of unity within the country and this is part of a similar meeting in New Delhi.”

Gajurel also said that an informal meeting may be held with Indian political leaders, but no such meeting has been arranged so far. Dahal had previously visited New Delhi as the Prime Minister of Nepal in May 2023, during which various agreements were signed between the two countries.

According to the statement issued by Prachanda’s secretariat, the meeting in New Delhi is aimed to further strengthen mutual harmony, cooperation and commitment to a common future among the Nepali society. “The main objective of the program is to unite Nepali brothers living in India and raise social and political awareness,” the secretariat said. he said.

During the meeting, Prachanda will speak about common issues concerning the Nepali community in India, strengthening Nepal-India relations, challenges and opportunities faced by the Nepali diaspora, as well as the importance of unity and cooperation.
