Former Prince Andrew allegedly used taxpayer funds to pay for massage services

Civil servants who worked with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in the early 2000s now allege the former prince gave taxpayers massages during his lavish spending spree while working as Britain’s trade envoy.
“I thought it was wrong… I said we shouldn’t pay, but we paid anyway,” said a civil servant in the commerce department. BBC.
The person, who chose to speak anonymously, claimed he refused to pay the bill for “massage services” but was overruled by senior staff.

The former civil servant said he regretted being allowed to use taxpayers’ money to fund Andrew’s massage habit.
“I wouldn’t say it would have stopped him, but we should have flagged that something was wrong,” the now-retired officer said.
Another source, who works as a senior Whitehall official, also claimed to have witnessed Andrew’s lavish spending. According to the civil servant, Andrew would spend lavishly on excessive flights, an unreasonable number of hotel rooms and more to accommodate his entourage. “I couldn’t believe it…it wasn’t like it was real money, they weren’t spending their own money,” he said.
The officer said the expenses were not recorded properly and warned senior officials to turn a blind eye. He explained that Andrew’s checks were not reviewed but were instead given a “rubber stamp.”
Fox News Digital has reached out to Andrew and a representative from the Department of Business and Commerce for comment.
