Former Rep. Bob Good trashes President Donald Trump’s endorsement track record

Former Rep. Bob Good slammed President Donald Trump’s support history, suggesting the president’s picks would be better used to know which candidates to support in electoral races.
“Face the truth… face it… the problem is Trump… not his advisors (who he picks because they say nice things about him on TV)… it’s Trump himself… you literally do better if you use Trump’s endorsement to know who not to vote for,” the former lawmaker said. wrote to x Tuesday.
Good has personal experience running against a Trump-backed opponent.
While serving as chairman of the House Freedom Caucus in 2024, Good lost the GOP congressional primary in Virginia’s 5th Congressional District to Trump-backed rival John McGuire, who won the general election and replaced Good in the House.

Trump had repeatedly trashed Good at Truth Social. claiming“Bob Good is BAD FOR VIRGINIA AND BAD FOR THE USA.”
Declared Good last week to post In X, “Trump LIKES RINOS…based on approval history.”
