Former senator Cory Bernardi recruited by One Nation as future of Coalition remains unclear; RBA to make rate decision today
Employment and Workplace Relations Minister Amanda Rishworth described the Coalition split as “more dramatic than a soap opera”.
I’m talking to Nine’s Today On this morning’s programme, Rishworth said: “I don’t know what happened there. It’s more dramatic than a soap opera. They’re together, they’re not together.”
“This seems pretty ego-driven and I think Australians will take note of that.”
Rishworth was flanked by Senator Jacqui Lambie, who agreed with the parallel Prime Minister Anthony Albanese drew yesterday, likening Ley and Littleproud’s tumultuous relationship to dramatic reality television.
“I have to be brutally honest with you, like MAFSs or Love Island It went wrong,” Lambie said.
“You are in the opposition and frankly there is no use taking on the government of the day as we go through this process, it is very distracting and you should be ashamed of yourselves.”
