Fortnight-long special cleanliness campaign launched in Thiruvananthapuram Railway Division

On Wednesday, a rally organized by the Thiruvananthapuram Railway section opened by the department railway manager Divyakant Chandrakar.
On Wednesday, Thiruvananthapuram Railway Department launched a two-week special cleaning campaign, which was observed in Indian Railways between 17 September and 2 October. The theme of this year’s campaign is “Swachhotsav-Congratulations and Participation of Community”.
Divyakant Chandrakar, Divisional Railway Manager, ThiruvanantHapuram Railway Department, Swachhata pledge to civil servants and staff by applying the campaign opened the campaign at ThiruvanantHapuram Central Train Station. After opening the campaign, he emphasized the focusing on transforming dirty points, providing clean platforms, tracks and trains, encouraging environmentally friendly celebrations and connecting cleaning with public health and prosperity.
At the Thiruvananthapuram Central, a special program was organized together with NSS University College volunteers, Thiruvananthapuram and Karthika Thirunal Government Girls of Vocational High Secondary School, Manaud and Railway staff. A session showing the scientific work of bio-lands was appreciated by passengers, students, staff and general people. A awareness rally and Nukkad Natak (Street Game) stressed the importance of cleaning by NSS students.
