Four killed after minivan crashes into a tree in northern Victoria | Victoria

Four people died and three children remained in the hospital when the minibus carrying nine passengers crashed into a tree.

Police said the vehicle was traveling on Chapel Road at Muckatah, in northern Victoria, near the NSW border, when it crashed around 5pm on Monday.

4 passengers died at the scene. They have yet to be formally defined.

Three seriously injured children were taken to hospital by plane.

The driver and a passenger were also seriously injured and taken to hospital by road.

Detectives are attending the scene and the circumstances surrounding the crash have not yet been determined.
