Four killed in California child’s birthday party

At least four people were killed in a mass shooting at a child’s birthday party in California.
Ten people were injured in an armed attack on a restaurant in the northern city of Stockton on Saturday evening.
Local police said the victims included adults and children. The health conditions of the injured have not been confirmed.
A suspect remains at large and police said they believed the attack may have been “targeted”.
The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office said the attack occurred shortly before 6pm local time (02:00 GMT Sunday) and is urging anyone “with information, video footage, or who witnessed any part of the incident” to come forward.
Spokesperson Heather Brent described the incident as “unconscionable”, adding: “This is a very active and ongoing investigation and information remains limited.
“Early indications are that this may have been a targeted incident and investigators are exploring all possibilities.
Stockton Mayor Christina Fugazi called the attack “unacceptable.”
“Instead of being in the hospital, families should be together, standing by their loved ones and praying for their survival.”
