Four men in their 20s who were killed in 2am car crash in Huyton are pictured: Families pay tribute
A photo was taken of four young people who died after hitting a power pole in a traffic accident that occurred at 02:00 at night.
Jack Diggle, 23, Benjamin Dooley, 23, Andrew Roberts, 24, and Craig Shackleton-Brady, 26, were traveling in a black Cupra Formentor in Huyton, Merseyside, when the vehicle went off the road on Friday.
While the men were pronounced dead at the scene, the fifth passenger, a 27-year-old, was taken to hospital.
The families of the four men have now paid tribute, describing them as ‘thoughtful’, ‘loving’ and ‘beautiful’.
Mr Diggle’s mother said: ‘Jack was a gentle, quiet, thoughtful and loving man. He adored his family, and we loved him with all our hearts.
‘Jack was blessed with a wonderful group of friends, many of whom have been with him for most of his life.
‘He loved playing football with them and was a proud Everton supporter. ‘He also had a passion for darts, whether he was watching or playing himself.’
He added that Mr Diggle was going to Blackpool to watch darts with friends that week and that it was something he was ‘looking forward to’.

Andrew Roberts, 24, was also killed. His mother Linda said: ‘My dear son would never do anything wrong, my life will never be the same with you here.’

‘Jack and I went out to dinner together on Thursday. It was a lovely time, just mother and son enjoying each other’s company. “Little did I know that this would be our last time together,” he said.
Mr Dooley’s mother Kerry said her life was ‘torn apart’ after the tragic collision.
He said: ‘I’m waiting for you to walk through the door and say ‘are you okay mom’, you were the kindest, heart of gold person I have ever met. Do anything for everyone… You are loved by everyone who meets you. ‘I can’t tell you how much I miss you, it hurts so much.’
Her sister Demi added: ‘I’m my little sister, the only sibling who always gives me advice and looks out for me, I’m heartbroken.
‘It feels like a terrible dream, I miss you so much already, the laughs we made and the memories I will cherish forever. ‘I love you until we meet again, brother.’
Mr Roberts’ mother Linda said: ‘My beautiful blue-eyed boy, I can’t believe I even have to write this. My dear son never does wrong, my life will never be the same with you here. My heart will be broken forever. ‘I love you from my mother, son.’
Mr Shackleton-Brady’s family added: ‘Craig was a truly good-natured family man whose love, loyalty and generosity impressed everyone who knew him. Craig was a devoted and loving father to his two children who were always at the center of his world.
‘His pride in being a father shone through in everything he did, and the love he showed his family will live on in their hearts forever.’

A large police presence can be seen at the scene of the accident. The tragic incident occurred just before 2am when the black Seat Cupra left the road and crashed into a lamppost in the Huyton area of Merseyside.
They explained that the 26-year-old has an ‘infectious laugh’ and ‘the way she lights up a room’.
Emergency services were called to Liverpool Road after reports a black Seat Cupra had left the road and crashed just before 2am.
An eyewitness told the Daily Mail he woke up to ‘carnage’ the next morning.
He said the car was ‘split in two’ and its other parts were scattered on the road.
Dramatic footage shows scores of forensic tents set up inside a large police cordon and debris strewn along the road.
An eyewitness said: ‘The Cupra hit a lamppost and landed about 200 meters away, breaking in two and shattering along the road. There are parts of the car and the wheels everywhere.’
Local resident Joe Smith said: ‘I slept properly and saw all the cops this morning. I hear the victims were all pretty local, which is shocking.
‘I am a father and I cannot imagine what it is like to lose a child under these circumstances.’
A Liverpool Road shopkeeper added: ‘It looks like a night that ended in tragedy. My thoughts are with the families.
‘It will be very difficult for them. ‘There needs to be greater awareness of road safety for young drivers.’
Inspector Paul Holden said his thoughts were ‘first and foremost with the families of the four men who sadly lost their lives’.
He added: ‘This is a truly devastating moment for their families and loved ones and our priority now is to get answers as to how the collision happened.
‘We understand this happened very early this morning, but if anyone saw the incident or was passing the area just before it happened please get in touch.
‘Similarly, if you live in the area and have doorbell footage of the black Seat Cupra or the incident please contact us. ‘You may have information or images that may be useful to our investigation.’
