Frail DoorDash delivery driver, 78, who was too poor to retire is now on verge of becoming MILLIONAIRE thanks to donations from heartbroken well wishers

The 78-year-old DoorDash driver who went viral after he was caught on doorbell camera driving down his driveway has nearly become a millionaire, thanks to thousands of donations from helpful strangers.
Richard Pulley was seen struggling on the curved road as he dropped off Starbucks orders at Brittany Smith’s home in Manchester, Tennessee, on March 10.
Upset by the old man’s labor difficulties, Smith used social media to contact Pulley to find out why he was still working.
He discovered that he was forced to become a Dasher after his wife Brenda lost her job. The ordeal left the couple without money to pay for their expenses and medications.
Smith was very impressed by what he saw. GoFundMe There was only one goal on the old man’s part: ‘Let’s help Richard get back into retirement!’
He initially set a goal of $20,000, but so many people were eager to help Pulley that donations quickly poured in, totaling more than $900,000 at the time of this writing.
With more than 30,000 different donations, the goal has since been increased to an eye-popping $1.1 million.
Many were left with good feelings for Pulley and his wife as they could finally sit back and enjoy their golden years.

Pulley was caught on doorbell camera dropping off Starbucks orders at Brittany Smith’s Manchester, Tennessee, home on March 10.
Smith later found Pulley through social media and discovered that he was driving to make extra money after he and his wife didn’t have enough money to retire after she lost her job.
‘Richard, I hope you and your wife enjoy your retirement and keep your feet up,’ one wrote. ‘I also hope that this fundraiser will allow you to spend time on activities you both enjoy!’
‘I am sending strength and comfort to you and your partner. ‘I wish you peaceful days and the chance to rest again,’ added another.
A third said: ‘I hope you and your wife get the retirement you deserve.’ ‘My grandparents are my best friends and they’re about the same age, so my heart broke for you when I saw this. I pray that you can live comfortably forever!’
In an interview with WSMVPulley expressed his gratitude for the donations: ‘We are grateful for every single one of them.’
“This takes a lot of the pressure off of us,” he added. ‘And making life livable once again.’
It was later revealed that the elderly couple were working together as delivery drivers: Brenda would drive and her husband would deliver the groceries to the house.

Pulley recently met Smith and her daughter at a restaurant, where they shared their gratitude for organizing the campaign and Smith presented them with a check.
“Once you get past your mid-70s, there’s no longer a line of people waiting to hire you,” Brenda told the outlet.
The couple again expressed how surprised they were that so many strangers were willing to help them.
The largest donation was a whopping $5,000 from an anonymous good Samaritan.
Brenda was also shocked by Smith’s kindness in setting up the GoFundMe: ‘I can’t believe someone would take that much care to set this up for us.’
The couple was able to meet Smith recently, and he thanked her for changing their lives as she handed them a check.
