Franklin Graham films Easter special in divided Minneapolis for Fox News

With a mission of hope and truth this Easter Sunday, the Rev. Franklin Graham visits a city recently marred by division and headline-grabbing violence, including an attack on a church service.
Rev. President and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA). The Easter special hosted by Graham, “What is Truth?”, was filmed in Minneapolis, which has been the focus of civil unrest this year.
A crowd of 39 people descended on St. Louis in January after the deaths of Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti at anti-ICE protests near Minneapolis. They raided the Cities Church in St. Paul and chanted “Who needs justice, we need justice.” All 39 people were arrested, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ).
“It is difficult to comprehend the depth to which our country has fallen. Hate, violence, crime are rampant. The whole world seems to be in conflict. In this time of division, many wonder where we can find the truth.” Franklin Graham said.

The tactics used against Christians at Cities Church were described by the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s nephew, Dr. He was scolded by Alveda King in an interview with Fox News Digital.
“I was taught to protest prayerfully and nonviolently,” King said. “So yes, I was absolutely shocked and disturbed to see a worship service disturbed by hostility. This is not the way to get God’s attention. This should not be the way to get America’s attention.”
The 30-minute program features music by the late Johnny Cash, Charlie Daniels and Michael W. Smith.

The presidency of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association was previously held in Minneapolis; where Graham was president of Northwestern University and then Northwestern College. “What is truth?” withdrew from campus.
Pastor Graham’s televised Easter message last year, titled “Easter from Ashes,” focused on Southern California after the devastating Palisades fires. Samaritan’s Purse has helped more than 700 homeowners in the Palisades area get back personal belongings.
Franklin Graham’s previous Easter specials were filmed in Jerusalem during the conflict between Israel and Hamas and war-torn Ukraine.
“Jesus said to his disciples, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by me.’ Graham, that’s what Easter is all about; “Our hope is in a risen Savior,” he said.
