EC Complaint Against Jagtial MLA Sanjay

Karimnagar: Former MLC and senior Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy on Tuesday, a day before the municipal elections, Jagtial MLA Dr. He filed a complaint with the Election Commission against Sanjay Kumar’s sitting.

In a letter to the EC, Jeevan Reddy alleged that the MLA was involved in voter instigation and election malpractices in Jagtial and Raikal municipalities and urged the commission to take immediate action to ensure free and fair voting.

The complaint highlighted internal differences within the Jagtial Congress unit that arose after Sanjay Kumar left the BRS for the Congress. Party sources said Jeevan Reddy was unhappy with the MLA’s inauguration and alleged lack of consultation in the distribution of municipal tickets.

The timing of the complaint, a few hours before the elections scheduled for February 11, triggered political debate in the region, and observers noted that the public disagreement could affect the party’s chances in municipal elections.
