Meghan Markle was spotted buying Easter gifts for her two children in California this week. The 44-year-old stepped out near his home in Montecito on Wednesday, where he was seen presumably preparing for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s Easter baskets.
Touring a local toy store in her hometown, Meghan purchased Magic Rabbit playing cards and Magic Castle Sea Monkeys during the low-key outing. The former working royal is a proud mum to son Archie, who turns seven next month, and four-year-old daughter Lilibet.
Discussing Meghan’s latest shopping trip, a source told PEOPLE: “She was picking out Easter gifts for her kids and godchildren. She was there for a while, talking to staff and making selections.”
A throwback purchase, Sea Monkeys were a popular children’s toy between the 1960s and 1990s.
The royal has previously made sure Archie and Lilibet enjoyed the Easter holidays and was seen preparing an Easter Egg hunt for her son in 2021.
A heavily pregnant Meghan was spotted in the garden of the couple’s Monetcito home in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s 2022 Netflix docuseries.
The couple moved to California in 2020 when their son was less than a year old. They then welcomed their daughter the following year.
To talk PEOPLE Last year, Meghan shared that the community was protective of her young family.
She said: “I think once you get to know us, as unique as our situation is, you want us to have the same normalcy for parents and our children that they do.”
