Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal’s wedding, which was supposed to take place on November 23, came to an abrupt halt after the former’s father fell ill and was admitted to the hospital. The sudden turn of events led to rampant speculation and many rumors on the internet, leading to a backlash against Palash Muchhal, where accusations that he cheated on Smriti Mandhana are still unproven.

After Smriti Mandhana’s father, Palash Muchhal was also admitted to a hospital in Mumbai after returning from the wedding hall in Sangli on Sunday. It was reported that the singer was hospitalized due to extreme fatigue. Controversy surrounding their wedding increased further when Smriti Mandhana and other members of the family removed all wedding-related content from their social media accounts.

Now, amid Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal’s wedding controversy, postponement and cheating allegations, her cousin Neeti Tak has taken to her social media account to defend her. “Palash is going through a critical situation today. You should not judge him without knowing the truth… Technology has come far ahead of people and people should not form opinions based on rumours. Pray for him,” he wrote on Instagram Stories.

On November 25, Palash Muchhal’s sister and famous singer Palak Muchhal had requested privacy. “Due to Smriti’s father’s health condition, Smriti and Palash’s wedding has been postponed. We request all of you to respect the privacy of both families during this sensitive time.” Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal were scheduled to get married on November 23.
