Fuel Switches Shut Off on AI 171: Report

New Delhi: On Friday, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) issued a preliminary report on the deadly Air India Aircraft Accident, who killed 260 people in Ahmedabad on June 12th. AAIB said that its activities of debris site, including drone photography/video, have been completed and moved to a safe area near the Airport.
“Both engines were taken from the debris area and quarantined in a hangar at the airport.” He said.
“The components interested in further exams have been identified and quarantined.” He said.
On June 12, Air India’s Boeing 787-8 aircraft operating flight AI 171 London Gatwick hit a medical hostel complex shortly after departure from Ahmedabad and killed 260 people, including 241 people on the plane. A passenger survived the accident.
In addition, the best -selling wide body Dreamliner or Boeing 787 had a fatal accident for the first time and caused the loss of body.
On June 26, a status report of the accident was published by the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
