Australia
Have we passed peak international education?

Australian universities have been benefiting from demand from international students for three decades. Like governments and many private businesses, they profited from an unlikely export industry with significant social and geographic impact. So what happens if the number of students decreases?
The Australian government announced in 1986 that it would allow public universities to accept fee-paying international students. This decision, which came into force in 1990, was based on strong foundations. Australia’s participation Colombo Plan had gained goodwill and reputation for providing quality English education.
