Sri Sathya Sai police crack multiple thefts, recover property worth over ₹20 lakh

Sri Sathya Sai district police on Saturday arrested several criminals involved in a series of house burglaries, theft of transformers and power cables and temple hundis in multiple mandals, leading to the recovery of stolen properties worth over ₹20 lakh.
Addressing a press conference, Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar said police arrested Chakali Narasimha Murthy (30) of Kallakunta village for day and night trespasses reported under Kia, Roddam, Somandepalli and other police station limits. Special teams seized 100 grams of gold jewelery worth over ₹ 12 lakh and a car worth ₹ 5 lakh.
In another operation, Nallamada police arrested a six-member gang who was stealing transformer coils from farms in nine mandals, including Nallamada, Kadiri and Amadaguru. Police seized 657 kg of aluminum wires worth Rs 6 lakh and solved 22 cases involving 51 transformers.
In a third case, Kadiri police nabbed three criminals and an accomplice involved in the theft of five temple hundis and recovered cash worth 1.16 lakh and gold ornaments worth 2.5 lakh.
