Alia Bhatt’s Alpha Postponed

The release of Alia Bhatt’s much-awaited film Alpha has been postponed. Originally planned to be released in December 2025, the film will be released on April 17, 2026.
According to YRF spokesperson, the delay is due to prolonged VFX work.
“Alpha is an extremely special film for us and we want to present it at its most cinematic. We realized that VFX would take a little longer than we originally planned. We want to leave no stone unturned to make Alpha a theatrical experience that audiences will love. Hence the new release date – April 17, 2026,” the spokesperson said.
Alpha marks Alia Bhatt’s debut in the YRF Spy Universe, and industry sources say the studio is being extra cautious after the lukewarm response to War 2. “There’s a lot going for it; it’s the first female-led spy movie in the franchise and the producers want to be absolutely sure on every angle,” says the insider.
The post-credits scene of War 2 featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR was a teaser where Alpha explains Bobby Deol’s importance to a young girl.
Meanwhile, knowledgeable sources have denied reports that Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Salman Khan’s Tiger will make cameo appearances and termed them as “just rumours”.
