Ganesh idol immersion LIVE: Over 50,000 police to oversee idol immersion, says Telangana DGP

TaLangana DGP Jitender said that more than 50,000 police staff will be deployed on Saturday to ensure that about two lakh ganesh idols are immersed properly.

Büyük Haydarabad Municipality Company (GHMC) said that approximately 15,000 sanitation workers will work in three shifts in Haydarabad (24×7) to maintain cleaning during the event.

Authorities, Haydarabad and the surrounding area, detailed security arrangements have been made, more than one department coordinated to manage the immersion, he added.

DGP yesterday, “up to 50,000 police will be deployed. Approximately two Lakh Ganesh idol will be immersed,” he said.

Hayarabad Police Commissioner CV Anand said that all arrangements have been completed for the last planned for today.
