Gateshead fire LIVE: Residents told ‘shut doors and windows’ as blaze erupts in Blaydon | UK | News

A fire broke out overnight in a town in England, sending firefighters and police officers to the area. In the early hours of March 25, 999 crews were called to reports of a fire near Chain Bridge Road, Blaydon, in the Borough of Gateshead.

It was reported that the fire broke out in a building on Patterson Street. While many pumping devices and special vehicles were present at the scene, police officers are also assisting the fire crews and have formed a cordon. While emergency services were working at the scene, residents were asked to keep their doors and windows closed as heavy smoke rose from the area.
