Gaurav Gogoi rubbishes Pak link charge, calls it ‘worse than C-grade cinema’

Guwahati: Assam Congress chief Gaurav Gogoi on Sunday dismissed CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s allegations about his Pakistan connections, calling them “extremely unwise and fake”.
Gogoi described the press conference in which Sarma made the allegations as “worse than a C-grade cinema”, which was a “super flop”.
In a post on
“This #SuperFlop is in stark contrast to our #XomoyParivartanYatra which was successful in uncovering 12,000 bighas of land occupied by the Prime Minister and his family members,” he claimed.
Sarma claimed that Gogoi, his wife Elizabeth and Pakistani national Ali Tauqeer Sheikh had a “deeper bond” and that information from the IB was secretly forwarded to the neighboring country.
The CM also claimed that Gogoi had made a “top secret” visit to Pakistan in 2013, where he was believed to have undergone “some form of training”.
