Gautam Gambhir backs BCCI’s diktat amidst Virat Kohli’s viral outburst

These comprehensive instructions were introduced after India’s disappointment at the Border-Gavaskar Cup against Australia earlier this year.
The Indian cricket world is buzzing because its new head coach Gautam Gambhir strongly supports BCCI’s new rule. This rule is particularly returning from Virat Kohli, especially recently. Gambhir’s firm stance shows that he wants to see more discipline in the team when it comes to having a family during the players and tours on the board of directors.
BCCI’s new rule book
Earlier this year, the BCCI came out with a 10 -point plan after India was demonstrated in Australia. The most important part is the limit to how long families can stay during international tours. Now, for tours longer than 45 days, families can join players for only 14 days. Even less for shorter series. The idea is to reduce distractions and focus on playing everyone for their countries.
Kohli’s emotional reaction
Not everyone is satisfied with the new rule. Some major players are worried about this and lead the accusation of Virat Kohli. He said he was disappointed in an interview that attracted a lot of attention. Kohli said that family support is super important during challenging tours. He said it really helps to be able to go back to their loved ones after difficult games. Not having this support thinks the mental health of a player and how well they play. He also believes that people outside do not always get families help.
“It is very difficult to explain how much grounding you have to return to your family every time when you have anything outside, with anything that happens outside.
Gambhir’s firm stand
However, Gautam Gambhir, known for his open views, presented a different perspective. Speaking in a special interview with the Cheteshwar Pujara, Gambhir certainly supported BCCI’s directive. “Families are important, but you must understand something. You are here for a purpose. This is not a holiday,” Gambhir said, first of all, the national commitment presented a blunt assessment with many people who believe in giving priority to give priority.
“You are here for a big purpose. There are very few people who have the opportunity to make the country proud in that dressing room or in this tour.” Gambhir, while accepting the importance of families, emphasized that the ultimate goal of representing the nation should remain very important. “If your focus has a much greater role to make our country proud and connect to this goal, this is why, I think everything is fine. But for me, I think this reason and this goal is more important than anything else.”
