GB News halts for Prince Harry bombshell – and it’s bad news for William | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Prince Harry will reportedly invite his father, King Charles, to open the Invictus Games in 2027. Royal fans will be able to see the pair together in Birmingham for the first time in 13 years when the Games return in July.

UK News presenters Stephen Dixon and Anne Diamond spoke to royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams. Fitzwilliams said Prince Harry’s invitation to King Charles to open the Invictus Games next year was a “major step towards reconciliation”.

However, according to reports, this move may be disappointing for Prince William, who is currently not on good terms with his younger brother.

The Invictus Games were founded by Harry in 2014 as a sporting competition to celebrate injured, sick and injured military personnel.

Sources have told The Sun that the King and the Duke of Sussex are willing to compromise and achieving this at next summer’s Games would be “appropriate” given Charles’ position as Head of the Armed Forces.

“This time, Harry is using a very, very important opportunity in a very positive way,” Fitzwilliams told the audience.

“Invictus, which was founded by Harry in 2014, is a very important military charity so you could argue that it is part of the king’s duty and if that happens maybe we can compromise.

“You might also ask, who else will be there? Will Meghan be there? If not, why not?”

He continued: “It’s a big dilemma for the King. I’m sure he won’t do anything without consulting Prince William, and we know he may have strong views on this.”

There is also a period when Harry will appear in court with Associated Newspapers. The king will not want to be involved in this matter in any way. And of course there’s the vetting that he’s pretty sure to give. [Harry] what you want.

“It’s a huge question mark, but it’s undoubtedly a very positive step towards reconciliation for Harry.”

Meanwhile, a royal reporter claimed that Harry would bring Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to England if their personal safety was ensured.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s children have not been seen in the UK since 2022 and have only met King Charles a few times in their lives.
