India Beat Pakistan by 90 Runs in Rain-Curtailed U-19 Asia Cup Clash

India’s Under-19 team secured their second consecutive win in the tournament with a dominant 90-run victory over arch-rivals Pakistan in a rain-affected Asia Cup encounter. The match was reduced to 49 overs per side, but India put in a comprehensive all-round performance.
Batting first, India were bowled out for 240 in 46.1 overs. Opener Aaron George consolidated the innings by scoring a fine 85 off 88 balls, including 12 fours and a six. He was effectively supported by Kanshik Chauhan, who scored 46 off 46 balls (two fours, three sixes) and Ayush Matre, who made a quick 38 off 25 balls (four fours, three sixes). While Abhigyan Kundu added 22 points, the previous game’s captain Vaibhav Suryavanshi dropped to 5 points.
Pakistan’s bowling attack was led by Mohammad Sayyam with three wickets, while Abdul Subhan and Nikab Shafiq took two wickets each. Ahmed Hussain and Ali Raza contributed with one wicket each.
Chasing the target, Pakistan struggled throughout their innings and were eventually bowled out for 150 in 41.2 overs. Huzaifa Ahsan put up a lone stand as she contested 70 off 83 deliveries, including nine fours and two sixes. However, he received minimal support as only Farhan Yousuf (23) and Usman Khan (16) managed to reach double digits.
India’s bowlers shared the wickets to secure the convincing victory. Deepesh Devendran and Kanshik Chauhan were the most successful, taking three wickets each. Kishan Kumar Singh took two wickets, while Khilan Patel and Vaibhav Suryavanshi added one each.
