Georgina Gharsallah ‘went to the shops and we never saw her again – seven years later, we still want answers’

Andrea GharsHallah, who complained about the broken hair and fracture phone charger, was not remarkable in March 2018 with his daughter.

Georgina, a proud mother of two boys, a passionate market -fried cook and a music lover, was surrounded by a strict family containing her confidant mother and three sisters.

Although his life in the following years was unpredictable and suffered from social anxiety and bulimia, there was no ink that the GharsHallah family would never be seen after leaving his family in Worthing.

Seven years five months later, neither a police investigation nor his family’s constant calls did not bring any clues.

“This is a mystery,” Andrea said Independent. “I was never aware of any blood feud with anyone. He didn’t mention anything and would ask me if he had owed money to someone.”

When he disappeared, 30 -year -old Georgina was unemployed and recently left his wife. A poor relationship had seen that he had returned to live with his mother.

Nevertheless, he continued to visit him regularly, which was the first disappearance of the network.

On Wednesday, March 7, Georgina left a plan to fix her phone at 9.30, visit Jobcenre, and meet her father at Worthing Town Center.

His last official opinion was recorded at CCTV at Cliftton Food and Wine Shop at 9.50, where he asked the store manager for help with the phone. He didn’t hold the rest of his appointments for that day, his phone broke off the net, and since then his bank accounts haven’t touched.

“I knew his phone wasn’t working, so I didn’t worry at the beginning when I didn’t hear him for the first few days,” Andrea said. “He often went to stay with your friends or on-off with his boyfriend. I had something small behind my mind, but often he reported to me and sent his texts.”

Andrea, who is familiar with her daughter’s irregular and excessive lifestyle, was uncomfortable. “I thought it was thoughtless – I thought, ‘At least you can tell us where you are.”

A few days later, after Georgina failed to meet her children, the alarm started ringing and she contacted her former partner to say that she hadn’t heard of her.

After contacting local hospitals and texting their friends on Facebook, they decided to call the police and report their losses.

The investigation for Andrea made a return when the detectives reported that Georgina’s bank accounts were not used a few weeks later.

“I was always listening to the footprints that came out of the path and the stairs,” he said. “We lived while waiting, we waited for him to emerge – but it never happened. Maybe it took a long time to admit that it was harming.”

Their relationship with the police was not always a smooth sail. In the first few months, Andrea says that more than one person was appointed to the case and that the family is responsible until June 2019.

In August that year, at 15:30 at Chapel Road, another woman was shown to the CCTV of a potential opinion of Georgina. Although he was convinced that his family was, he was later dismissed due to the uncertainty of the police.

The frustration has increased on the lack of promotion and urgency of the case. “I would see that the lawsuits in the UK are high profiles in a day or two, and I send E -mail to the police, and ‘Do you have drones, searches and police teams in Yorkshire?’ I would say.

“As time passed, I accused them of discrimination against my daughter because of lifestyle choices or race or social discrimination.

The Sussex police strongly rejected this accusation, and in 2022, referring to the Independent Police Behavior Office (IPC) did not find any reason to investigate.

The spokesman for the force said: “We have carried out more than one physical search as part of our efforts to find what happened to Georgina.

They added that they participated in TV interviews and followed more than 100 possible views of Georgina from all over the country.

While his case is now recorded as an unhealthy murder, Andrea refuses to declare his daughter’s deceased. Uz We probably think that Georgina is harming, but I will never survive until I produce evidence to tell her what happened, ”he said.

Claudia Lawrence’s father’s death in 2021 was particularly a nerve. The 35 -year -old chef from Yorkshire disappeared in 2009, and even though his body was never found, the police believe that the police were killed.

“He really brought me that he was dead and never knew what happened,” he said. “This must be terrible, he spends the rest of your life to find answers and live for your child’s cause. I think my biggest fear is coming to the end of my life and he never knows.

“If someone knows something or if he has knowledge, we hopelessly. For Georgina, no matter where, please know that we hope you desperately.”

Detective Director Andy Wolstenholme said: “After reporting that Georgina Gharsallah has been reported to be missing so far, we completed comprehensive questions to find and find it.

“Despite the desperate and comprehensive efforts for his family and friends, despite the desperate and comprehensive efforts, I share the frustrations that we do not know what happened to him that day.

“My team and I stay in contact with Andrea regularly and admire the work of Georgina to disappear in the eyes of the people, and we fully support it.

“The priority of our investigation is to reach Georgina to reach the fact that what happened and to wait for their loved ones for these years.”
