Located in a fictional city based on Bradford, McCready comes from Lesley’s own experiences.

“I am a behavioral analyst and psychotherapist, but I have been released with my own therapy application, but most of my work is in the corporate world. There are always many psychopaths as well as in prisons.”

Forensic psychologists are generally related to the evaluation and treatment of criminal behaviors. In addition to prisoners and criminals, they work with other professionals who participate in police and judicial and criminal systems.

However, Lesley was doing a job with aid organizations in London, many of whom were in the prison system, helping drug addicts and homeless, for the first time he did not help educate prison officials while trying to better understand their behavior.

“When I thought that a nurse working at Strangeways could benefit from my views on human behavior, he explained by a nurse working in Strangeways,” he explains.

The demand opened the strict locked gates of some UK categories for Lesley, including the “Monster Mansion” Wakefield prison in the domestic Yorkshire.

Reminding this first visit, he says: orum I remember entering Strangeways for the first time, I remember feeling very scary, all these men are looking for a cat.

“During these visits, I learned how the prison smells, the stuck of sounds, switches and the structuring of the doors, especially for being in a submarine, especially for maximum security prisoners held in a prison prison. The staff who had to look at all these experiences.

During a visit to the maximum security prison, Lesley met a malicious child killer.

“You can say how guilty someone was with the number of prison guards that surround them, and he came with four, or he says. “I was there to talk about how a group of prisoners and their behavior affect their behavior against them and other prisoners around them.

“I knew him somehow, but he looked very different and he had gained too much weight and he was attacked there. He continued to look at me and smile, tried to pull me, which was very annoying, but of course this is psychopaths.”

“Then I asked who he was, and when he was told who he was, he shuddered me, my spine sent a tremor down.”

Lesley’s first novel Murder miles It was released in 2019 and was almost 40 years in my article. Orum I remember asking what I wanted to be when I grew up at school at the age of five, and I said a writer, ”he remembers. “Some terrible old teachers were told that people like me read books and did not write them.

“I wish I was still alive today, I could send him my books! I was writing that book forever, but I went on the way of life, I got married, I became a child, I had a divorce and I had another career. Let’s say I finally came to a very big birthday!”

In his twenties, Lesley tried to write historical romance, but when he discovered a crime fiction, he knew that he had to do it.

Ilar They say you need to write what you know, and what I know is human behavior, or he says. “In fact, I have often been involved for large businesses looking for people with psychopathic tendencies, people who ignite people who fire people, people who do not want to do what other people do not want.”

The Murder Mile followed last year Killing Song (2021), a fatal similarity (2023) and invisible dead. The Corphase light comes out today and the other is on the pipeline for next year.

“Now I have to write one a year!” She laughs at Lesley. “My books always come out at the end of July, right in front of him Yorkshire Day On August 1st. “

In the Corpse Light, a young woman is left to death while walking Yorkshire Moors and a local man is killed in a storage area. The reader is asked to think about what this apparently unconverted crimes are common?

The judicial profile was brought by Jo McCready to learn by DCI Callum Ferguson. But Jo has a secret. Local Gangster and prison prisoner Chris McGarry know the dead man and want revenge. There is also a leverage in JO, and as the investigation intensifies, he pressures him to transfer the police information.

Here again, Lesley’s information about the prisoners shines from the inside. So the criminal writer Ian Rankin, probably the baptism father of the species, said the author really knew his belongings ”.

Lesley met Rankin at the Harrogate Crime Writing Festival. First, he offered to read The Mill Mile, the Unpublished Book, and showed it to his representative.

“After he wanted to be a writer for 40 years, he finally happened,” he says. “I didn’t even think that Ian would read the book, and I still can’t believe I was sitting on the table when I press my nose to the glass for a long time.”

Two adults sons and now the mother of a grandmother, recently married and moved from beloved Yorkshire to Manchester.

And far from his own article, he recently used his profiling skills in the famous love-nefret relationship pop legend in Oasis brothers Christmas and Liam. The recently published ‘Gallagher: Oasis’ fall and rise ‘book was helping the other writer Pj Harrison to deal with the brothers’ personality and complex brother relationship.

“I was honored to be asked and it was interesting to watch interviews that didn’t really listen to the images and music of the brothers or who did not follow the group.” says.

PJ Harrison Despite the same training, I wanted to know why their brothers’ relationships are so variable.

Lesley summarized that Christmas, who was six years older than Liam, buried the physical violence of his fathers and usually entered to save their mothers from him.

“As a result, an adult Christmas is more introverted, or he says today. Li Liam, who is more outward, did not have his father, but he witnessed violence, but he still wants to have for the fight that is very young to help his mother. ”

For now, he returned to his hero Jo McCready while working in the next independent story in the series, which will be broadcast next year.
