GHMC, Cyberabad, Malkajgiri Municipal Corporations Zones And Circles
Hyderabad: To meet the administrative requirements arising from the rapid expansion of the city, the Telangana government reorganized the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) into three separate Municipal Corporations – Greater Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri. In December last year, 27 municipalities in surrounding areas of Hyderabad were merged into GHMC and its jurisdiction was increased from 650 sq km to 2,053 sq km, making it a megacity. There are currently 60 circles divided between three municipal corporations.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC)
Scope: Central and South Hyderabad
GHMC will now consist of 6 zones and 30 circles covering Shamshabad, Rajendranagar, Charminar, Golconda, Khairatabad and Secunderabad.
Shemshabad District: Adibhatla, Badangpet, Jalpally, Shemshabad
Charminar District: Santosh Nagar, Yakatpura, Malakpet, Charminar, Moosarambagh
Khairatabad District: Khairatabad, Jubilee Hills, Borabanda, Yusufguda, Ameerpet
Rajendranagar District: Rajendranagar, Attapur, Bahadurpura, Falaknuma, Chandrayangutta, Jangammet
Golconda District: Goshamahal, Karwan, Golconda, Mehidipatnam, Masab Tank
Secunderabad District: Kavadiguda, Musheerabad, Amberpet, Tarnaka, Mettuguda
Cyberabad Municipal Corporation
Scope: Most of Western Hyderabad + parts of Northern Hyderabad
There will be 3 zones and 16 flats in Cyberabad.
Serilingampally District: Narsingi, Patancheru, Ameenpur, Miyapur, Serilingampally
Kukatpally District: Madhapur, Allwyn Colony, Kukatpally, Moosapet
Quthbullapur District: Chintal, Jeedimetla, Kompally, Gajularamaram, Nizampet, Dundigal, Medchal
Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation
Scope: Most of Eastern and Northern Hyderabad
Malkajgiri will consist of 3 zones and 14 flats.
Malkajgiri District: Keesara, Alwal, Bowenpally, Moula Ali, Malkajgiri
Uppal District: Ghatkesar, Kapra, Nacharam, Uppal, Boduppal
LB Nagar District: Nagole, Saroornagar, LB Nagar, Hayathnagar
According to the Government order issued, RV Karnan will continue as GHMC Commissioner, G Srijana will be the new Commissioner of Cyberabad, T Vinay Krishna Reddy will be the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Jayesh Ranjan will be the Special Officer of the three Municipal Corporations.
