New York Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo is recovering from his season-ending ankle injury in unique fashion these days.
This includes brawling with WWE superstars at Madison Square Garden.
Giants fans won’t see the Arizona State product on the field until next season, but he was spotted ringside with some of his teammates on “Monday Night Raw” at Madison Square Garden, where he brawled with the trio of rookie sensations known as “Doomsday.”

It all started when Dominik Mysterio, one of the three stars of the trio, chatted with actor and comedian Andrew Schulz. While talking to Schulz, Mysterio, the son of wrestling legend Rey Mysterio, mocked the New York native by saying he was looking at the only champion the city had seen in years.
Mysterio then asked Skattebo how many years it had been since a New York team won a championship, to which he responded, “Can you count, Cam? How many years has it been? He doesn’t know. He can’t count.” he said.
This caused Skattebo, who was injured in a Week 8 road loss against the Philadelphia Eagles, to stand up and get in Mysterio’s face.
JD McDonagh then started making jokes at Skattebo and yelling at Giants players before turning to the rookie.
“Are you going to play defense for the first time this season?” McDonagh shouted before looking at Skattebo. “What will you do?”
Skattebo pushed McDonagh to the ground, sparking a confrontation between Schulz, Giants players and wrestlers before security separated him.

Skattebo’s teammates joining the Giants included fellow rookie Abdul Carter, the team’s first-round pick, who wore a custom Giants WWE championship belt over his left shoulder.
While Skattebo has been entertaining at New York City’s premier events, including Saturday night’s UFC 322 show at MSG, he would rather be on the field against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The player, seen rolling around on a scooter at MetLife Stadium, watched his team lose 27-20 to Green Bay and the Giants fall to 2-9 on the season.
Skattebo took the city and the NFL by storm, scoring three touchdowns in a home win over the Eagles on “Thursday Night Football.” His tenacious running style and Tasmanian Devil-like demeanor have made the fourth-round pick a fan favorite alongside rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart.
The Giants haven’t had a healthy chance to overcome their losing woes this season. Prior to Skattebo’s injury in Week 8, LSU second-year wide receiver Malik Nabers tore his ACL in Week 4, in Dart’s first game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Giants fans believed that the team could salvage the season without Nabers, as Dart and Skattebo formed a strong offensive duo. However, with Skattebo out, Dart, who only played on Sunday due to a concussion, remains the team’s promising young offensive talent.
Skattebo finished his rookie season with 617 rushing yards (410 rushing, 207 receiving) and seven total touchdowns in eight games.
