Australia’s nuclear submarine agreement was the focus of the Foreign Minister’s negotiations with the US colleague as a pentagon examination of the partnership approached the end of the pointed.

Penny Wong held negotiations with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio at a night with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, a three-sided AUKUS agreement that will provide nuclear submarines to Australia under partnership with the United States and the United States.

Some predicted that AUKUS may be on the fire line after starting a 30 -day examination to the agreement to ensure that the US President Donald Trump is compatible with the “American first” agenda at the beginning of June.

Senator Wong said it was not an unusual step for a new US administration.

On the morning of Wednesday, he told journalists at the Aest USA, “We had a good debate about our work together, a good debate about Aukus and a good discussion about Aukus’s positive benefits to Australia, the US and the United Kingdom.”

The couple also mentioned the deepening of cooperation through AUKUS, critical minerals and regional security.

Some waited for Mr. Rubio to touch on the Australian military budget, the US urged Canberra to increase the gross to 3.5 percent of the Gross Domestic Product, and agreed to increase all the expenditures of allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to five percent of GDP.

However, Senator Wong said that Mr. Rubio did not raise the defense budget of Australia, and the debates were broadly on regional stability and the two of them were unfortunate to meet against a ground of global conflict.

“It has never been so important for us to use our collective power for peace, stability and prosperity in Indo-Pacific,” he said.

For the second time in six months, the four -national diplomatic partnership group came together for face -to -face interviews.

Although Senator Wong came together with his US colleagues several times, Prime Minister Anthony Arbanese was not under the pressure of the opposition to try a meeting with Mr. Trump to try and negotiate his exemption from his tariffs on Australian goods.

The two leaders were going to talk to the sides of the G7 Summit in June in June, but the meeting was scrapped in eleven hours when Mr. Trump left early due to instability in the Middle East.

According to Senator Wong, Mr. Rubio regretted the kidnapped opportunity.

“Given him, considering the circumstances, we acknowledged that we perfectly understand why the President should be separated and that we would plan this meeting again.”

There has been no date for the meeting yet, but Mr. Albanese marked that there would be a chance to meet during the upcoming global “summit season ..

Senator Wong also said that Mr. Trump’s 10 percent in all Australian goods sent to the United States and 50 percent tariff tariff in steel and aluminum was “strong” to remove the base line tariff.
