If you have old DVDs it’s worth checking them for some specific DVDs that might be of benefit. If you keep these DVDs behind a cupboard at home, you can sell them for a reasonable price.

In many homes, Brits still haven’t gotten rid of their old DVD collections, and if you’re one of those people, now might be a great time to look through the collection. Before Netflix and Amazon Prime, these DVDs were a staple in many homes.

Some assume that DVDs are a thing of the past, but many people still value having a reliable hard copy collection of their favorites. Bally Casino has researched which DVDs could make you some money. They’ve also hired collections expert Tracy Martin to offer her expertise in appreciating your belongings and getting the most out of them.

The most expensive DVD is the Carry On Film Collection, a complete box set containing all 31 films shot over a 34-year period. The average price for the entire collection is a whopping £350.

Another movie set that might be worth some money is Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the limited edition castle box set could set you back £300.

The Blade Runner Ultimate collector’s edition could set you back an impressive £300, the same amount as The Godfather box set.

Tracy said: “Collectible value can come from rarity, variations of the norm, oddities (misspellings on DVD cases or books), nostalgia – people buying back memories, limited editions and basic supply and demand.

“There are many reasons why things are collectible. People don’t always realize they have valuable things, so they turn to those who do, like me, or do their own research online.

“Always do your research by looking at how much similar items have sold for in the past to ensure you are getting the best possible price for your collection.”

Tracy suggested that finding a good sales platform is key to getting a good price for your products.

He also said it’s important to make sure you start with a reasonable price for the product you’re selling.

While some DVDs are starting to make a comeback, CDs may increase in value.

With vinyls already growing greatly in popularity, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see CDs make a comeback as well.
