Female bodybuilder jailed for drugs and cash on parole

A female bodybuilding champion who was caught at a traffic stop with about 24 grams of pure methamphetamine and cocaine has been imprisoned for three years.

36 -year -old Samantha Jane Heron met the Queensland High Court on Thursday, and found 11 accusations for a commercial purpose, including two drugs.

Heron competed in shape sculpture competitions in Australia and the United States, was found guilty of earning almost $ 66,800 for drug offenses.

Justice Peter Davis heard that Heron was a conditional evacuation for similar crimes when Heron was transferred by the police in Kallangur in north of Brisbane in September 2024.

The crown prosecutor said that the officers found 16 grams of pure Meth and 7.6 grams of pure cocaine equivalent in Heron’s vehicle and handbag.

Heron avoided a day in prison for a day when he was sentenced to conditional evacuation, including 13 grams of cocaine in 2021, including 13 grams of cocaine.

Defense lawyer Nicholas Brown said Heron was “a very successful career in bodybuilding” and that he was a cover model for a fitness magazine before he became a subsidiary during a family crisis.

Heron has been in custody since his arrest due to conditional evacuation violation.

“He goes well in prison and runs fitness courses.” He said.

“He works as a senior farm hand, which is an extremely reliable position because it involves working on the border line.”

Mr. Brown said Heron was a drug addict during his crimes, but now he hoped to continue his work in the field of health sciences.

“There is a remarkable self -discipline story that needs to be successful in bodybuilding,” Brown said. He said.

Justice Davis sentenced Heron to three years in prison, and this year’s first drug crimes returned until May.

“Your history is a common history in many respects. You have encountered difficulties in life that leads you to drug addiction.” He said.

Heron will be suitable for conditional release in March 2026 after serving in custody for 10 months in custody among the sentences.

Justice Davis ordered Heron to lose his belongings of drugs found by the police.

Heron waved to his supporters in court while being detained.
