IMD predicts heavy rainfall in THESE Indian states till September 15, here’s all you need to know

A few parts of the country are expected to receive heavy rain between 12-15 September. Read here to know which states will receive heavy rainfall.

The Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) predicted heavy rainfall in various parts of the country for the next five days. Northeast India, East and Central India, North-West rugged states and continuous rainfall in the Southern Peninsula Region are expected.

IMD foresees heavy rainfall in these Indian states

IMD estimates light to light in the northeastern states between 9-11 September, and heavy rainfall is expected in certain areas. Arunachal Pradesh, Assem, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura is expected to have heavy rain between 12-15 September. On the other hand, stable weather conditions are envisaged in states such as Delhi-NCr, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jarkhand.

According to IMD, Eastern Madhya Pradesh is expected to receive rain on 9 and 10 September. Chhattisgarh is expected to experience the Andaman and Nicobar Islands between 9-13 September and between 9-11 September.

Bihar is estimated to have rainfall between 9-12 September. A separate warning has been given for strong winds in certain areas. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema are expected to experience strong winds at a speed of 30-40 km / h for the next five days.

The IMD advised the residents and local administrations in the affected states to remain vigilant. They warn that heavy rains can increase the risk of landslide in rugged areas and cause them to flood in low regions.
