Two jailed for arson on property linked to UK’s Starmer

A court has jailed two men for setting fire to property linked to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in a plot orchestrated by a mysterious Russian-speaking figure.

Roman Lavrynovych, a 22-year-old Ukrainian national, and Stanislav Carpiuc, a 27-year-old Romanian national, were sentenced to seven years and two years in prison respectively on Friday after being found guilty of conspiracy to damage property by fire.

According to prosecutors, the men targeted a car and two properties linked to Starmer over three nights in May 2025 at the behest of a Russian-speaking individual named “El Money”.

El Money contacted Lavrynovych via the messaging app Telegram.

Their identities were never revealed and they were not charged.
