Governor sets up panel to probe into Gulbarga University ‘evaluation scam’

The Committee of Finding a Case, directed by a retired judge, will provide information about the irregular assessment and tampering of signs in the evaluation of the response pages of the second and fourth period of the B.ED exam at Gulbarga University in December 2024.
Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, a chancellor of universities, established a one-man real finding committee and appointed retired judge Ramachandra D. But he directed the finding committee to present a report with his suggestions within a month.
In the second semester, 2,427 and 4,139 candidates in the fourth semester, including 6,566 B.ED student wrote the B.ED exam in December 2024.
University officials noticed that some students took identical notes in more than one subject and also tampered with notes.
The traces of many students have increased significantly after re -evaluation, which has led to doubts about the evaluation process.
