Lawyer argues Call of Duty maker can’t be held responsible for actions of Texas school shooter | US school shootings

A lawyer of Call of Duty on Friday, a judge, argued that the victims of the Robb Primary School attack in Texas should reject the case of the victims of the Robb Primary School attack and that the content of the war was protected by the first amendment.

Families filed a lawsuit against the Call of Duty Maker Activision and meta platforms, the owner of Instagram, and said that companies took responsibility for the products used by young armed.

Three parents who lost children in the shooting were in the audience at the Los Angeles hearing.

Activision’s lawyer Bethany Kristovich told the Supreme Judge William Highberger that he had önemli the claims of the First Change, that the period would stop full ”.

“Arms violence problems are incredibly difficult, Kr said Kristovich, Kristovich said. “This is not evidence in this case.”

He argued that there was little chance of dominance if the situation continued, because the courts continued over and over and over and over again, whether the creators of artistic works, whether books, music, film, TV or video games, cannot be held responsible for the actions of the audience ”.

Many cases containing their families were filed on the second anniversary of one of the most deadly school shootings in the US history last year. The armed man killed 19 students and two teachers. The officers finally confronted and shot him after waiting for more than an hour to enter the fourth grade class.

At the hearing, Josh Koskoff, the lawyer of the families, showed contracts and correspondence between the managers in the Activision and weapons producers who are clearly and fully depicted in the game, although brand names are not visible.

He said that the shooter suffered from absorption and self -loss in the call for duty ”.

Koskoff said that immersion was so deep that an armored suit he did not know that he only exists in the game as a shooter called.

Koskoff played a Call of Duty Clip with the first person who shot the rivals.

The shots echoed loudly in the courtroom, and a few people in the audience slowly shook their heads.

Family lawyers are expected to discuss the first amendment problems of the Activision case on Friday.

Highberger told lawyers that he did not bow in both directions before the trial, and it is unlikely that he would make a decision immediately.

Meta was not included in this hearing or the discussed movement.
