Govt Will Organise Students Innovators Partnership Summit: AP CM

Bhamini (Andhra Pradesh): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Nadiu said here on Friday in Parvatipuram Manyam district that the government will organize a ‘Students Innovators Partnership Summit’ to unearth and reward innovative ideas.

The Prime Minister said that he would invite industrialists to this summit in January 2026. “We are considering organizing ‘Students Innovators Partnership Summit’. I will invite industrialists to this innovators summit to unearth and reward good ideas,” Naidu said, addressing a public meeting at Andhra Pradesh (AP) Model School in Bamini as part of the mega parent-teacher meeting (PTM) held here.

Promising to support higher education and study abroad dreams, the CM said he would expand low-interest loans and other programmes. The Prime Minister said the government will launch the ‘Kalalaku Rekkalu’ scheme and will also facilitate loans at 0.25 paise interest to finance foreign education.

He advised students that there is no need to kill their dreams and desires, citing these initiatives, and added that students are like precious stones in the earth, which can achieve anything with the right guidance.

Observing that Saturdays have been declared as ‘bag-free days’, Naidu said that subjecting students to the rigors of 24-hour work will not yield good results, but study hours with limited attention are beneficial.

Likewise, he stated that the government pays special attention to students who are late in their studies and those who are successful are rewarded under the shining stars program.

World-class learning methodologies are being worked on to improve education in the southern state, he said, adding that Andhra Pradesh education system will be developed as a role model for the entire country.

According to Naidu, 28 reforms in school education and 10 reforms at the secondary level have been implemented to make Andhra Pradesh’s education sector a role model for the country, among other initiatives.

Naidu said the teacher-student ratio in Andhra Pradesh government schools is 1:18 compared to 1:28 in private schools. Earlier, the CM launched the Basic Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) programme, accompanied by Human Resources Minister Nara Lokesh.

Naidu and Lokesh sat in a classroom with children and made a female student practice reading in Telugu on a tablet. After the student completed the reading, Naidu, with the help of technology, notified the student of his accuracy, words per minute, and mispronunciations. He gave him advice on where he needed to improve.

Similarly, as Naidu moved from exercise to exercise on the tablet, CM and Lokesh tasked the girl with identifying and pronouncing English letters. According to an official video link, Naidu made the girl read an English passage and engaged her in other learning activities. Besides the CM, public representatives attended PTMs across the state, including Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan in Palnadu district.
